Qualification Overview

The Focus Awards Level 3 Award in the Foundations of Yoga (RQF) is aimed at those learners who are experienced in Yoga and are keen to gain a better understanding of the principles that underpin Yoga.

The Focus Awards Level 3 Award in the Foundations of Yoga (RQF) will provide learners with the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to develop their personal practice and continue their journey in Yoga.

The purpose of the Focus Awards Level 3 Award in the Foundations of Yoga (RQF) is to equip established Yoga practitioners with an understanding of the philosophy of Yoga which underpins postures; to give them the skills to plan a personal practice session, and to review and adapt this for the duration of the course; and to equip them with a range of breathing and relaxation techniques to apply in their personal practice.

 

 

Qualification Structure

In order to successfully achieve the Focus Awards Level 3 Award in the Foundations of Yoga (RQF) learners must complete one mandatory unit.

 

 

Learner Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, but it is recommended that learners will have been regularly practising Yoga competently for 2 years.

 

 

Progression Routes

Learners wishing to progress from this qualification can undertake the following qualifications:

  • Focus Awards Level 4 Diploma in Teaching Yoga

 

 

Age Ranges

Entry is at the discretion of the centre; however, learners should be at least 18 years old to undertake this qualification.

 

 

Geographical Coverage

This qualification is available in England and Northern Ireland.
