Finance and invoicing

This update was created towards the end of 2018 and has made a positive impact. Automated invoicing has improved functionality of Qualitas and invoicing. With the new system this ensures 100% accuracy when invoices are generated. If you didn’t know invoices are generated within 60 minutes of registrations being made. Should you continue to register learners outside of the 60 minute period you will receive a second invoice. Our payment terms continue to be on receipt. Unfortunately, should we not receive payment within 7 days your account will be suspended until payment has been received.

Sampling

Sampling has been the biggest update we’ve made recently, the new update cuts out the middle man to make it more efficient, a guide for this here {LINK}. Sampling will only apply to qualifications where DCS hasn’t been awarded. As always, sampling will not take place until payment has been made.

Development of Qualifications

We’re currently working on a lot of new qualifications which have been requested by our fantastic centres. You can find the number of qualifications we are working on beside the relevant sectors below.

  • Sports and Recreation
  • Service Enterprise
  • Health and Social Care
  • Administration and Teaching

The following qualifications are in the final stages of development and will hopefully be available in early September.

  • Level 2 Award in Skin Care and Facial Treatments
  • Level 2 Award in the Art of Dressing Hair and Photographic Make-up
  • Level 3 Award in Tanning Treatments
  • Level 3 Certificate in Using Pre-Blended Oils for Aromatherapy Massage
  • Level 2 Certificate in Providing Manicure Treatments and Make-up Application
  • Level 3 Diploma in Combined Nail Technology Skills
  • Level 3 Diploma in Combined Beauty Therapy Skills
  • Level 4 Diploma in Managing a Salon Business
  • Level 2 Award in Dementia Awareness
  • Level 3 Certificate in End of Life Care

During the development of qualifications we do need support from centres, when asking for support we ensure that the qualifications are relevant to your centre and are something which we think would benefit you as a centre.

The development of qualifications can take an average of 5 month.  The time scale will also depend on the size and level of the qualification which has been proposed for development.

Qualifications requested by approved centres maybe required to complete a questionnaire prior to internal approval so that we can understand the reason for the request and to provide Focus Awards with the relevant information which will assist with gaining internal approval for developing the qualification. The questionnaire will request details on the purpose, market, progression and more.

Do you have a qualification that you would like developing? Let us know, email qualdev@focusawards.org.uk to register interest in new qualifications and we will be in touch. Please be aware that we receive a high number of qualification requests which are developed in order of the request made.
